The Law Society

The Law Society represents solicitors in England and Wales. From negotiating with and lobbying the profession's regulators, government and others, to offering training and advice.
The Court Services
Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service was created on 1 April 2011. It brings together Her Majesty's Courts Service and the Tribunals Service into one integrated agency providing support for the administration of justice in courts and tribunals.
The Bar Council
The General Council of the Bar (known as the Bar Council) was founded in 1894 to represent the interests of barristers. As the governing body for the Bar its role is to promote and improve the services and functions of the Bar, and to represent the interests of the Bar.
Solicitors Regulation Authority
The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) regulates more than 120,000 solicitors in England and Wales, as well as registered European lawyers and registered foreign lawyers and is the independent regulatory body of the Law Society of England and Wales.

Companies House
The main functions of Companies House are to incorporate and dissolve limited companies, examine and store company information delivered under the Companies Act and related legislation and make this information available to the public.
Citizens Advice Bureau
There are 394 Citizens Advice Bureaux across England and Wales and all are registered charities. Citizens Advice itself is also a registered charity, as well as being the membership organisation for bureaux. Together we make up the Citizens Advice service.

Child Support Agency
The Child Support Agency (CSA) is part of the Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission. Our role is to make sure that parents who live apart from their children contribute financially to their upkeep by paying child maintenance.
